NoNations Studio is a community-driven, vinyl-focused online Japanese radio platform broadcasting between East London and Tokyo.



The project explores intentional listening experiences through curated vinyl selections presented within a narrative “listening scene” framework.

Each invited selector constructs a contextual scenario, such as a specific time of day or environment, through which the music is best experienced.


What began as informal gatherings among friends has evolved into small-scale listening parties involving members of the wider London music community.

Today, NoNations Studio records and broadcasts these sessions fortnightly from William’s East London flat and from Siva Studios in Tokyo.

The project has recently been recognised by Audio-Technica Europe, who now support the platform as an official sponsor.

By framing music within distinct contexts and everyday settings, NoNations Studio encourages audiences to engage with listening as a deliberate and shared experience.

In doing so, the platform connects creative communities across the two cities through their shared passion for vinyl culture and independent broadcasting.
